GOCAF KINTEX THE FINAL SEASON: EXPERIENCE EVERYTHING ABOUT CAMPING
Today, I bring you heartbreaking news that weighs heavily on my heart. Lee Tae-geun (41), a former member of the group Akdong Club, has passed away. It has been reported that he died due to complications from a COVID-19 booster shot (Pfizer) on the 3rd of this month. His memorial service was held at the Tangeum Funeral Home in Chungju, and the funeral was conducted on the morning of the 5th.
Lee Tae-geun’s tragic ordeal began in February 2022, following his third vaccine dose. He suffered severe brain damage and had to undergo three years of hospital treatment. At the time, Lee Tae-geun’s wife shared the heartbreaking condition of her husband, saying, “He is in critical condition. He has lost over 20 kg and is nothing but skin and bones. He is barely breathing.” A close acquaintance of Lee also revealed, “Though he had underlying conditions, he was living happily with his twin children. After receiving the vaccine, we were told he was in the ICU, and there was an urgent need for blood donations.”
Lee Tae-geun first appeared on television in 2001 through MBC’s ‘Saturday Full Goal – Akdong Club,’ and the following year, he debuted in the music industry as a member of Akdong Club. In 2006, he restructured the group into ‘The AD,’ but the team did not achieve significant popularity.
Lee Tae-geun was someone who relentlessly pursued his passion for music and dreams. Although his musical career was cut short, the songs he left behind and his presence on stage continue to resonate in the memories of many. Lee Tae-geun’s story transcends the death of a celebrity; it serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of health and the potential risks associated with vaccines.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends, and may his soul rest in peace. To all those who remember Lee Tae-geun’s life and music, let us join together in mourning his loss.
Through this blog post, I hope we can reflect on Lee Tae-geun’s tragic journey and remember his music once more. Though his life was short, it was undeniably impactful, and we will cherish the songs and memories he left behind.
